In 2007, the AT77C108 was the next step toward a smaller chip and less expensive chip with more features: 6x192 pixels 500 dpi, integrated low power acquisition, navigation and wake-up functions, SPI interface.
This chip was debug with a ceramic package (OK at first run), and the production was using an extremely small footprint molded package, with a symmetrical shape.
